I’m Ashley Medici, a Long Island based photographer and visual artist. I currently work as a Photo Editor for Dan’s Papers in the Hamptons and Palm Beach.
My work is driven by instinct and feeling. Much of my photography, especially my ocean work, focuses on atmosphere, movement, and emotional tone rather than perfection.
I don’t approach my work in a traditional way. Some of my pieces move into more conceptual territory, including self-portrait work that uses the body, repetition, and contrast to create something that feels unexpected.
I also paint, often working from reference but allowing the final piece to shift into something more abstract. I’m drawn to ocean imagery and forms that feel familiar but slightly altered.
My work has been exhibited in New York, including Tribeca, and throughout the Hamptons, with select pieces placed in Southampton and Sag Harbor.
I offer custom sizing, including panoramic work, and prefer to consider the space as part of the final piece.
